Geotextiles
Overview:
Geotextiles are woven, matted or knitted products constructed from synthetic fibres which are not susceptible to biodegradation. Geotextiles are porous and accordingly allow liquid to flow across their manufactured planes and also within their thickness. There are a wide range of applications for geotextiles, but the primary functions performed by this group of Geosynthetic products are protection, separation, reinforcement, filtration, drainage and containment (when impregnated).
Recommended Applications:
Geotextiles
- Cushion Geotextile – used to protect lining material against filter aggregate
- Filter Geotextile – used as a filter medium in a wide range of applications – landfill, stormwater, erosion control etc.
- Geonets/Geocomposites - Provides a flow path for liquids between layers of geosynthetic materials allowing the liquid to be drained.
- Geocomposites are geonets with a layer of geotextile glued to one or both sides of the geonet.
